AR-15 Fundamentals Course
If you've always wanted an AR-15 but don't know where to start or you now own one but aren't sure how to maintain it... this class will give you the skills to choose & maintain this very user friendly rifle platform.
As we cover the AR-15 rifle platform- in AR-15 "101" (if you will), we will cover a brief history, function, terminology, parts, variations, as well as how to disassemble, adjust, and properly maintain the rifle for reliable operation and years of enjoyment. While in the classroom session we will be hands on!
We offer two AR-15 courses. AR-15 Fundamentals Part 1 is a 4 hour session with minimal range time to ensure you are sighted in. AR-15 Fundamentals Part 2 is an 8 hour session to include part 1 and extensive range time.

USCCA AR-15 Fundamentals - Part 1 is like AR-15 "101".
This "Hands On" class teaches how to operate and maintain the Modern Sporting Rifle (AR-15 rifle platform). Safe operation, components, accessories, cleaning, maintenance, and sight adjustments. As we cover the AR-15 rifle platform- in AR-15 "101" (if you will), we will cover a brief history, function, terminology, parts, variations, as well as how to disassemble, adjust, and properly maintain the rifle for reliable operation and years of enjoyment. While this is a classroom session, it will be hands on!
If you have an AR-15 rifle, please bring it with you. If you don't have one, we will have rifles available. Also feel free to bring your cleaning kit, or any other related tools/items you would like to use or learn more about.
Please bring all firearms unloaded and in a case and present them to the instructor immediately upon arrival. No live ammunition will be permitted in the classroom!
We will end the session on the range learning how to properly sight in/zero the rifle. Please bring a minimum of 40 rounds of ammunition. 5.56 & 223 Rem are available for purchase at the store.

AR-15 Fundamentals Full Course
USCCA AR-15 Fundamentals - FULL COURSE.
This course teaches how to operate and maintain the Modern Sporting Rifle (AR-15 Rifle platform).
Safe operation, components, accessories, cleaning, maintenance, sight adjustments and has 3-5 hours of range time/shooting centered around defensive use of the rifle. Students will learn fundamental defensive use of the rifle with proper safety, alignment, mounting, sighting, cadence, marksmanship, and defensive shooting.
Required: AR-15 pattern rifle. 200-300 rounds of ammunition for your rifle. 3 Magazines (20+ round type). Sling (2pt preferred). Iron Sights or a close range optic (Red Dot, Holographic/Prism/LPVO). Case for your rifle.
Recommended Additional Items: Magazine Holster (or two), extra batteries for optics, tools for optics adjustment, brimmed hat (ball caps are great), ear plugs AND muffs.
This is not a long range/precision marksmanship class. All shooting is defensive in nature (under 25 yards).
What to bring: Note taking material (optional), Special food/drink needs (optional).
Provided: Coffee, Water (please bring a bottle), Vending machines are available.

This class is Part 2 of 2 to complete the USCCA AR-15 Fundamentals Course. The class is designed to teach you the fundamentals of using the AR-15 for self defense. All shooting is defensive in nature and at relatively short range (no more than 25 yards).
Attire: Closed toed shoes designed for movement. No loose collared shirts. Brimmed hats are strongly recommended.
